People should stop comparing past seasons to this season...don't believe me...ask Atlanta (13-3 to 4-12), Houston (12-4 to 2-14) and Kansas City (2-14 to 11-5) for starters.
Remember that the Saints lost to three pretty good playoff teams on the road (NE by 3, Carolina by 4 and while they got blown out by Seattle they lost to the up and down Jets by 6 and struggled against a so-so team in St Louis)

By the way the Eagles are only 4-4 at home this season.
Whether one is a fan of the Saints or not, everyone knows the Saints are an average team (at best) when they play on the road....they blew out carolina at home, but were just average on the road....they lost to Geno Smith and the Jets for gods sakes...

I understand you are trying to justify it, but if they were playing this game at the Superdome, I'd bet you they'd be favored by a touchdown....

The Eagles are less than an average team at home, so I guess it will be a toss up....Saints win on the Brees arm. The Eagles are 32rd in pass defense and the Saints are 2nd in pass offense.

And 4-0 in their last four home games.

I'm guessing the Eagles are very happy with the weather report for the game. Should be in the low to mid 20's.

All teams are at 0 at this point and as I'm never a big stats person, what matters is now, not that the Eagles lost some home games this year. Considering a new offense, juggling QBs, new coach, I think they did great and the arrow is pointing up from here.

Susan, I'm unreasonably hyped about the SF-GB game. The thought of a game colder than the ice bowl being played their just has John Facenda playing in my head talking about "The Frozen Tundra ..."

That said, here's why I think the Niners have a real shot: these conditions might turn the game into smash-mouth, battle of attrition type of game, and if that does happen that's plays into San Francisco's strengh.

I hope you're correct!

Going to be interesting! Compared to last year, Packers have a running game now but 49ers line is stout and tough. Should be a great game!

I will admit I'm wrong. Thought the Saints had no shot. Brees and company earned it. Nice win....

I give the MVP of the game to Rob Ryan.....

Interesting game. Saints put together a few methodical drives that won them the game. I think the Eagles blew it in the first half. Just weren't in sync at all.
