The NFC is going to be very interesting this year with the way some division races are going. NFC North no teams won this weekend. It is up for grabs, Lions could have run away with it, yet they lost 2. If Aaron doesn't get back, Packers aren't going anywhere unless Flynn really is a miracle worker.

The Atlanta Falcons are the 1st team officially eliminated from the playoff picture. Considering where they were last year, where talking heads were thinking they would be this year, no guarantees until the games are played. I still say there is more to their story than just the injuries.

What do you mean by that?

Take any 13-3 team and remove both WR's, the RB, the FB, half the OL and 3 defensive starters and I guarantee you they will nosedive.

Look at your Packers... 0-3-1 without Rodgers.

Atlanta didn't lose Ryan, but they did lose all his playmakers. Gonzalez is double teamed and it's game over.

Yet the "pro analysts" on ESPN publicly head scratch and say that can't figure out what's wrong with the Falcons or Matt Ryan... The same analysts were all smitten with the Packers and certain of a playoff run prior to yesterday's game then as the game unfolds relentlessly mention how much Rodgers' absence is hurting the team (he plays other offensive skill positions, defense and special teams as well?). Just goes to show how much pandering goes on towards certain teams.

Cardinals - Eagles is huge this week. This is one of those "mini-playoff" games that I like to watch towards the end of the season.

The Bears need to win. If they lose, the tiebreaker with the Lions is out the window.

The Lions' home loss to Tampa hurt them bad; still time to recover.

I'm expecting the Panthers to be playing in the second round of the playoffs.

The Lions have plenty of time to recover. The 2 losses hurt them but they should be buoyed up by the win yesterday and get on a roll now. I think you are right about the Panthers!

If the Seahawks beat the Saints Monday night, is the race for homefield in the NFC pretty much over?? Granted, the Seahawks still play the Niners & Cardinals, but they'll be basically 3 games up on the Saints with 4 weeks left.

The Packers are basically out, right? The best record they can have is 9-6-1, which I don't think will be enough to win the North, even though the Bears and Lions are far from favorites on a game-to-game basis.

They're not out yet. Even though that tie with Minnesota hurts, the Lions and Bears need to win most of their games the rest of the way.

Lions still have Philly, Baltimore, Giants & a road game vs. the Vikings.

All tough games, and ending the season with a 1-3 record isn't a stretch to the imagination for Detroit fans.

Detroit's loss to Tampa could haunt them later.

Bears & Packers in the regular season finale......could decide who stays home for the playoffs.

Your forgetting the panthers who can win out...they would be 2 games back.

Unlikely to happen but possible
