I agree about the Texans! They were showing so much promise, what happened to them???
Yah. There is no way Gary Kubiak returns next year. Any hope of him staying beyond 2013 was lost when they lost back to back to the Raiders & Jaguars. Actually, assuming they lose by 20+ to the Pats this week, and than lose to the jags.....again next week, I wouldn't be surprised to see Bob McNair the owner cut him after week 14. I also wouldn't be surprised if he was unemployed by week 16 no matter how the team fares the next 3 games.

Really don't see the advantage of firing a coach in week 14 or 16. It is not like a new coach is going to save the season.

It can give the owner a small glimpse of whether or not the interim replacement is even HC material or not. If not, a much more informed choice can be made in the offseason. There really is nothing to lose.
If one of the coaches you're referring to LKC is Doug Marrone, I think you're sorely mistaken my friend. There is NO WAY IN HELL Marrone is one and done, mark my words. He has kept the Bills competitive for the most part considering the QB issues. If there are problems, it's with the front office. After next year, that may be possible if there are still no positive results.
Now, Mike Smith on the other hand..... Yeah, I think he's toast in Atlanta after the season is done. The only team that was a bigger disappointment this year than the Falcons are the Texans. I think Blank is just allowing Smith to fade off into the sunset with a little bit of dignity intact.
Well, the show is called Ax MEN not Ax Man so I had to improvise a little
I am reeling in defeat from last week's 5-8-1 finish. Between that and it being a very busy week I'm just making my picks with no additional commentary. I know you are all devastated.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone! Travel safe and be careful if you are going black Friday shopping. I always read about someone getting killed or seriously injured because of out of control crowds.

Sorry but I disagree. I think Blank gives Smith another season.
No coach in franchise history has done what Smith has done in Atlanta over the last 5 years and the fact that the team has been overrun with injuries is just as good of an excuse as anything else.
The fact Atlanta has no offense? How many games have Jackson, White and Jones missed? How many yards and TD's have they averaged over the years? The OL has been hit as well with multiple starters missing multiple games.
Not that the D was that great to begin with with Weatherspoon missed an extended period and so has Biermann.
If Smith gets fired I think Thomas D should be fired too... whose fault is it the team has a serious lack of depth? Who is in charge of drafting players?
