Well, that was an all around horrific performance by the Broncos. I'm starting out 0-1 and I haven't even finished making my picks.

Denver and San Diego always play each other tough. I did pick Denver, so it looks like I'm starting 0-1 as well.

BTW: What happened last night outside of the stadium? This is the second instance involving a Broncos game where there was an altercation. The first one being in KC.

It sure is.

According to USA Today it happened on a private parking lot adjacent to the stadium parking lots. I was listening to 104.3 "The Fan" broadcast out of Denver and the morning guys said that unfortunately witnesses are coming up short. You can bet the farm that at the next home game there will be increased police presence out in the parking lots. And they DO patrol them! This is a situation any NFL club doesn't need.

We have our share of riff raff during Cleveland Browns games too. Fights do happen in the stands, but a lot of the crap goes down in the Muni-lot. It's one thing to rib opposing fans, and talk a little good natured smack, but people take s*** too far. I will say on one or two occasions when Pittsburgh came to town though, I had almost gotten into it with a couple of their fans, due to them being obnoxious, and over all being complete jerks! Of course I was younger back then. But they do get to be a bit full of themselves. At any rate, I try to avoid trouble, and will usually let the other person attempt to make the first move.

Police: Parking lot scuffle led to stadium stabbings after Broncos game

Investigators say the stabbing of at least three people in a parking lot at the Denver Broncos' stadium after Thursday night's game stemmed from a fight over a near fender-bender.

...
"It doesn't appear that this was related to the outcome of the game. It doesn't appear that this was Broncos versus Chargers," Warneke said.

...
Police say Manzanares pulled a knife from a sheath he was wearing on his belt and cut or stabbed all three people. They say the fight started after he pulled out of a parking spot and nearly hit the victims' vehicle.
