I think that is debatable. But when you throw in the PED scandal, it no longer is..
How is this debatable? This is the best secondary passing defense Manning will face in his career.

Manning beat Bears who were the best defensive team that year. He's in a similar situation. Can he beat this Seahawks? I think with the O-line he has, yes he can. But, he looked like he could crumble anytime he's off his rhythm. On the other hand, his receivers and backs look stronger than the ones he had with Colts.
I think the Seahawks defense is better than the Bears defense - not that much better, but a little better in their front, and definitely better in the secondary. But even worse, this Seahawks offense - especially at the QB slot - is much better than the Bears of 2006.
And even then, Manning did not have a particularly great game against the Bears that year. I felt that the MVP was probably Joseph Addai but they gave it to Manning out of respect for his game and the fact that he's arguably the most valuable player on his team. But Manning doesn't win that title without Addai on offense and Dwight Freeney on defense. He's got a good backfield in Denver, and Denver's front line is pretty good, I reckon. But the Denver secondary's nothing compared to Seattle's.
That being said, I think Denver's offense is some kind of explosive - arguably better than the Colts of 2006. The one game in which Seattle looked like they were flat-out beaten was against Indianapolis, and it was due to the fact that Luck took that secondary to school. Peyton's capable of doing the same. I just wonder if Denver's defense can hold Russell Wilson and Beast Mode in check for 4 quarters.

I would agree with this, if you're talking about DBs only. Not sure if I'd agree with regard to LBs, but DBs? Yeah, Seattle's as good as it gets. That secondary's got me goin all the way back to the secondary of the 49ers in the late 1980s and the Raiders combination of Lester Hayes and Mike Haynes. They're that good.

I agree. Manning has never faced a secondary this good. The Hawk defense is exceptionally smart, fast, intense, and relentless. The D of the Bears that year is not even in the conversation.

As far as my Manning facing the best secondary of his CAREER comments as being debatable. He has played for 14 seasons .. 16x14 plus all the playoff games seems like a debatable comment to me.. unless of course you go back and look at all the secondaries from each of those games and compare to the Seahawks which i wont do. I said it was debatable, not FALSE.. and I did not say I would debate.. just that the comment was in a stretch without knowing all the facts..
