Has anyone looked into hotel prices? I would guess a fan from say Seattle could save some money by flying into Newark and staying at a hotel in New Jersey as opposed to Manhattan.

I would assume NJ is an option for a lot of people. I was reading an article the other day that showed there were still plenty of affordable options for hotels.

My wife kindly reminded me last night that I have invited about 50 people over for a super bowl party and If I ditched the party for the game it would probably be held against me for the rest of my life.

Not much action on the low end. Still around $1,500.

Inventory is holding pretty firm though as well.

It's at that point where I wouldn't expect many drops. Tickets at this price range will sell to those who want to travel with tickets in hand and not risk the market once they get there.

Still a lot of tickets on the market though - I would expect some pretty big drops as the week goes on, then a quick increase at the homestretch and then a larger decline prior to kickoff

Looks like another good reason to have the SB in the cold. Perhaps people who did not win tickets in the initial sweepstakes might actually be able to afford a ticket. Still does not look likely, but it is also not going to be that cold on Sunday

Prices seem up a bit this morning. Cheapest is around $1,650. I realize this isn't exactly a scientific study I'm doing here. Just looking at the cost of the cheapest ticket on stubhub and ticketmaster. Of course it could mean the cheapest are being bought and I am just seeing the next tier of tickets.

It will be interesting to see the available tickets and how that moves during the week.

Stubhub: 4,716
Ticketmaster: 3,341

Obviously there are other ways to sell tickets. I assume these are the big two.

I have good friends in the Seattle area that are season ticket holders... they didn't win the lottery but friends that sit next to them did but can't go and offered their pair to them at cost...they are not sure they want to pull the trigger.. I advised them that it was a chance of a lifetime which may not come around again.. i don't think they are going to go.. i hope they don't regret it.
