Still way too much for a "cheap seat".

When I looked yesterday, at tickets being offered/promoted by the Seahawks organization, PAIRS of tickets could be had for less than $1,400. Because of that, I know people who are now going, last minute. Airfare was more than the tickets. Hotel in Manhattan wasn't nearly as expensive as they expected. I suspect it is going to be hell getting to the game from midtown, however.

Why even book in Manhattan when your destination is East Rutherford NJ? By the way, predicted temperature is 50 degrees. Seemingly NO chance of sitting on snowy seats or in subzero windchill. Goodell must be hooked up with psychic.

Because a lot of people traveling there for the game are staying longer than just the weekend. Might as well make it a vacation. Though the game is in Jersey, they don't want to spend the rest of their time in Jersey.

I live in NJ and I sure as heck would tell people to stay in NYC if they could swing it.

Big jump in prices.

Stub hub cheapest prices: $2,018. 1,382 tickets left.
Ticketmaster: $2,029. 972 tickets left.

I'm somewhat guessing that the weather is having an impact. Going to be so much warmer than people were afraid of not that long ago. I was also reading that a lot of "NYC money" was waiting on the sidelines to see how things panned out. Obviously travel isn't really an issue so easy to make last minute decision.

I'm surprised there are so many left at such a high price with not much more than 24 left. I mean is somebody really going to say at 1:00 tomorrow, "Hey let's go to the Super Bowl".

I'd stay in Bergen New Jersey. I won't say why, but local people might guess. Hint: Padma Lakshmi.
