On Monday the cheapest tickets were $2,700. Now it is $1,700. It is almost tempting. I live close enough where I wouldn't need a hotel.

If you can afford it, go for it. Could be an epic game.

I wish it was closer or that i could afford to fly there as I have friends in the area ...... seahawks in the game and it's about tailor made to be one of the lowest SB tickets in recent memory ....... large stadium, bad weather, expensive host city, a couple western teams from moderate sized cities

I'm going to keep my eye on the prices. If it gets to a thousand I'm not sure I could resist.

Lowest ticket today is $1,500. I would be happy if it dropped $200 a day from here on. Although that is probably a bit too optimistic.

If you bought the cheapest ticket, would it be as good as watching on television? With replays and discussion of key plays? The NFL is lucky to fill stadiums in northern states. With some of the technical tricks on the sports networks, I'm not sure why anyone would brave subzero wind chills.

There is something unique to being at a game that you can't replicate watching on TV. That goes for all sports as far as I am concerned. Or a concert for that matter.

Then throw in the uniqueness of the SB. And this may be my only shot at being able to get to a SB where travel is not a concern. I don't need a hotel. No added expense for the most part. And what are now looking like record low ticket prices. It may be a once in a lifetime shot for me.

Geez. $1500 for a lousy seat? Oh well, it shows how little Americans have to complain about when they can seriously ponder the possibility. I'd not pay anything like that for any form of entertainment. I'd rather put the money into a nonprofit that insures poor people's houses get some heat during the polar vortex.

I could not look at myself in the mirror to drop a month's rent to barely see a Super Bowl in freezing weather. Now if the Super Bowl ever comes nearby to me and I'm in a milder climate, maybe.
