Personally I was expecting the Seahawks to have their hands full and possibly lose.

Wow. That is all I have to say. Superior and on fire defense combined with a flat and uninspired Manning conspired to make a truly terrible performance by the Broncos. Even folks in Denver are saying this is the worst game they remember.

But it could easily have swung the other way too. Manning might have been on fire and the Seahawks just not hitting their rythm.

It's just a game folks. Just a game.

I'll go with the belief that Manning's lackluster performance tonight was anomalous because of the lack of good, reliable protection and the generally poor play of an overhyped receiving corps of the Broncos, but to say that the entire team collectively did not choke is off the mark. In fact I cannot reiterate enough how badly the total team effort was by Denver.

From the botched snap at the beginning of the game to the frequent dropped passes, to the sorry special teams play to the large number of turnovers and don't forget the moribund effort put forth by the defense, Denver's choke was complete and truly amazing to see. I picked Seattle to win this game going away but I certainly did not expect this complete meltdown and failure by the alleged top offense in the league and the rest of the Denver Broncos. Better luck next season Denver fans.

Seattle is a 3 phases team - this is what they can do

Also, let's remember that the line opened with Seattle as a 1.5 point favorite in this game ...... Vegas favored Seattle to win, but even then the Manning effect swung it the other direction

Seattle is an old school team that simply gets it done ..... as the season goes on the field will almost always tilt back towards the defenses .... tonight was no different

Just curious. Was Denver really the favorite? When and where was that said?

Betting line ..... never a huge spread in either direction though ..... I didn't hear too many people proclaiming them to be big favorites, unless they were trying to drive controversy for clicks

I was thinking this was a choke by Manning, but this was more a straight up beatdown by the Seahawks. I thought Seattle would win a close game but completely brutalizing the Broncos was something I never expected.

Went to bed at halftime. Have to wake at 4am. The way the game was going and the lame commercials made it easy.

The almost undefeated Pats team losing to NY was a far bigger choke. This was a bad Denver performance against a superior team.

Statistically he was a non-factor, but his role was huge in the game. Peyton did not try to throw anywhere near him. Notice, as soon as Sherman got hurt, that Peyton start throwing at his back up. Sherman was clearly the guy that they circled as someone they did not want to beat them. He made everyone else's job easier by taking that much attention for the Broncos' game plan.

The Broncos collectively choked, but I don't think you can put this squarely on Peyton's shoulders. He didn't have a lot of help. A lot of players were making mistakes.

Manning Face... he always looks that way.
