At Peyton's age, you have to think every season could be his last. Which to me means Denver should get serious as some teams have not. Wouldn't want to be in a situation like Buffalo where I think they put a guy under center from the practice squad. Or maybe that was Green Bay. Or maybe it was both.

Can you teach an old dog new tricks? That's the question for Manning. If he can get even trickier and if he could adapt to new defensive strategies, then he will be far more lethal next season.

Another thing: Denver needs to get better all around teams. Their defensive line played OK. Their offensive line sucked, their receivers must have mini black holes that suck in all the balls so there's no need to develop them more. You can't build a team on a 3 man offensive team. You have to have a unit that plays well together.
Seattle was not the first defense to read him like a book, and they won't be the last. It happens. Defenses in the NFL are far better than those at any other level (for obvious reasons).

The only time Denver was able to do much offensively was when Seattle played a little deeper and allowed Denver the short, underneath stuff.
Decker is the #2 or #3 option depending on the play. The fact that Seattle stuck Sherman on him rather than our #1 receiver is rather telling.

Is this really a controversy? I thought it was given that it was the SECOND worst choke.
