I understand why everyone is busy fawning all over the Hawks, because of the big score and the hype all season. But let's be honest. Denver gave away this game. It wasn't that Seattle beat Denver into submission. It wasn't like Seattle was blitzing Manning into the ER on every down (he actually had lots of time in the pocket), it wasn't that Russell Wilson played like Joe Montana (Wilson had an average game).
It was that Denver choked, collapsed, and could not recover after they muffed the first play of the game.
Seattle played average. They were not "dominant", they were not "beastly", they played an average game in which they simply capitalized on most (not all) of their bumbling opponents' mistakes.
The real Super Bowl was the NFC Championship. I would have liked to see the Niners/Hawks in the Super Bowl.
Denver should be disgusted and embarrassed with their sorry performance. And Peyton Manning, well, he tends to play poorly in the big games so no shocker there. But the entire Denver team should be embarrassed for this pathetic Super Bowl. For them to put in that sorry display they deserve to never make it to another Super Bowl again.
By the way the last Super Bowl in which a team did not "show up" also involved Denver.

Denver has a history of big chokes. Ban them from the Super Bowl! We deserve good games!

Seattle dominated all 3 phases
They scored on 6 of their first 7 meaningful possessions
Returned their only kickoff received for a TD
Added a defensive TD for good measure.
Gave Manning his only sack of the post season, stripped the ball from him and hit his arm on the Int that was returned.
Sure, Seattle could have played better .... but you never get a 100% perfect game, just doesn't happen ........ they did what they do and it was more than enough

Did you watch the game? I give the Denver receivers credit for standing up and taking the beating they took, but that absolutely contributed to Denver's offensive problems.

Way too simple. Every point Seattle scored was due to great effort and skill by Seattle players. So a line backer has a ball fall into his hands? From that instant on, everything depends on his resulting actions. Peyton didn't want to throw the ball to the other team, he was forced to do so. Maybe that's a failure of his O-line. Or more likely, it is an achievement of the Seattle D. This is a consistent problem analyzing any game. Really the outcome is a shared responsibility, it is the net of what both teams did.

I would give much of the credit for the Bronco collapse to a poor game plan. They managed to pretty much shut down Lynch, because they targeted him and forgot about the other Seahawks. Manning did everything he could to avoid throwing anywhere near Sherman, and forgot we have other pass defenders. I think the coaching staff watched the 49er game closely and were scared to death of Lynch's running and Sherman's pass defense. When their plan failed, they were unable to come up with any kind of adjustments.
Anyone saying the Super Bowl was more about "Denver's collapse" did not watch the same game I did OR is not familiar with football. The Super Bowl always brings out these after the fact geniuses who have watched one maybe two games.
