I am not sure that Manziel is a pro style quarterback...I would be a little leery of him. But maybe Houston is desperate after losing 14 in a row last season. I think Houston would be better off going after Louisville's Teddy Bridgewater as he seems more adapt to the pro style offense.

Does Manziel even fit in the Texans' scheme. I think I heard some analyst saying the Texans' offense assumes a pocket passer.

I can't really judge his ability cuz the team was such a circus to me. Sanchez got benched, mercifully Tebow got axed. Ryan is potentially a good coach, but it is one of those situations where the front office matters more than anyone in uniform.

Johnny Manziel just made it harder for the Texans to pass on him as the number 1 pick with his Pro Day performance. If they do pass on him they will regret it. He is always up to the occasion and that is exactly what the Texans need...

Texas would be better off with someone whose skills mesh into a whole system like Russell Wilson does in Seattle.

Also, I think the pressure is on the Texans to take him, with the Governor and Bush 41 both attending his pro day.

I hope that is enough to do the trick. Everything seemed to line up for this to happen, with the Texans choking the 2013 season away in an apparent effort to get the #1 pick. Would Manziel have entered this years draft if not for the possibility of being taken by the Texans? we will never know but like Manziel said make the most of the draft because you only get one chance to get it right.

So the rumor is now they want to trade away their #1 pick? His pro day was a media circus, all the hype that follows him plus Bush making an appearance, please, dumb, just plain dumb. I think the Texans would smart not to take him.

I agree with something I read about the situation being so staged, almost like choreography, too perfect. He is a side show totally.
