Did he have some kind of nickname like Megatron. I was thinking how its too late, but they should have called him Nuclear for the inexhaustible energy he seemed to bring to his team. And now that I think of that, I'm going to be looking for other chances to invent nicknames I think elite players should have.

As there has been 47 views here I believe most people would know why these last few posts had to go.

Lewis has had a thread before and while it did get shut down at least there was a couple dozen posts that talked about the football end of things. I'm hoping we can at least get a few responses here that does the same thing.

Thread re-opened.

Yeh, maybe we can just skip some of the more controversial names and think of nicknames for less controversial. Cool Hand Luke for Russell Wilson? I think Slippery might fit Shady McCoy better, but he likes Shady so there you are. Thunderball for Richard Sherman? Back Forty for Matt Forte. Rejecter for Patrick Peterson. Probably not a winner in there, but it's a fun game.

From someone close to Baltimore, the most common name I hear for Ray Lewis is Ray-Ray. Pretty generic.

I still think Nuclear Lewis describes him better.

He was a ferocious player, glad the Broncos don't have to play against him any longer.

There are pouters, there are whiners, there are beasts. But there are a certain number who LOVE to play the game. I only see him from a great distance, but I definitely got the impression that Ray was the happiest guy on the field. Oh pretty fierce, but not unhappy.
