Play off games bring in big bucks from advertisers, for the league and networks. Do you think more teams will be for the sport or for the money? Two 7-9 teams playing each other. Wow I'm excited.

Not a good idea. It just allows more mediocrity into the playoffs, and nobody wants to see a 7-9 team get in. The current structure is just fine the way it's set now.

As in life, so in pro sports.

Bad idea, everything about the playoff regular season and playoff schedule is perfect as is. Don't add anymore teams or any more playoff teams

It's pretty exciting for me if it happens. I don't know if that's going to happen though.

The 7-9 Seahawks did it for one year. They defeated New Orleans in the Wild Card Round but lost to the Bears in the Divisional Round. It might happen where two more teams could reach the playoffs. You never know.

That is malarkey. We would see more 8-8 teams get in. But we would not see any 7-9 teams added. The only ones that would make it are the one who win the division at 7-9 and we already get them anyways. In fact, I would guess that the number of 8-8 teams that would be added would be about equal to the number of 10-6 or better teams.

Do some actual research and tell us how many more 7-9 teams would have made the playoffs with one more team from each conference. Going back at least 10 years the answer is ZERO. And in fact more 10-6 and 11-5 teams would make it over 8-8 teams.
