ok, so I was playing Madden( because at heart I'm still 14 ) and I ended up moving the Jags to BKNY( not that that is important to the post) anyway, it got me thinking: IF you had the room for a stadium in BKNY, would you let a team go there? I would for 2 reasons

1) Brooklyn is on the come up in the sports world by getting the Nets and the NY Islanders will move there in 2015-2016.
2) the pop. is there. If Brooklyn were to become its own city, it would be the 4th biggest in the US behind NYC, LA, and Chicago. BKNY has 2.6 million people.

I know NY technically has 3 teams already( Buffalo, NYG, NYJ) but the last 2 play in New Jersey( I call them the New Jersey Jets) and the Jets are a side show so they could be dropped in favor of the Brooklyn team.

There is too much competition for any NFL team that expresses any interest in moving. Since the NYC area already has the Jets and Giants, I wouldn't consider Brooklyn a viable option for a team. I don't think the league would either. Especially when Los Angeles remains without a team. I'm sure the NFL would rather put a team in Los Angeles than a third team in New York.

Brooklyn is only viable if the Jets or Giants are moving there.

I was going to say the same thing as well. Let either the Giants or the Jets move to Brooklyn. We all know there would have to be a team playing in New Jersey since that stadium is practically brand new.

Then again, it's always possible the Bills move into Canada.

The New York Islanders(NHL) are relocating to Brooklyn in 2015. The city is not going to put 3 pro-sports teams in Brooklyn.

I was impressed that they got the arena squeezed in there, but I wonder if it will end up causing issues similar to MSG in Manhattan. Queens and NJ have long been the places where New Yorkers shove the things they want nearby but don't want to sacrifice their important real estate for (for example this is why there are so many cemeteries in Queens). If the Giants or Jets were going to make a move into NY they would probably end up playing somewhere around Flushing. Man, I really envy you guys for being able to follow locals teams in both the AFC and NFC like that.

Also, like other people have pointed out there is a large market void elsewhere in Southern California.
