They may have lost the opener, but the Jaguars are expected to be a major contender, especially with that high powered offense. With the Colts not looking like themselves, the Jags may take first place in the toughest division in the AFC.

Thoughts?

They just lost two starting O-linemen to major injury after losing part of their O-line in the preseason. Personally, I think they're screwed now. Garrard was sacked 7 friggin times on Sunday and Jones-Drew & Taylor combined for 31 yards on the ground. They still don't really have any receivers on that team that stand out to me.

Not looking good...not at all. Good thing I drafted Jones-Drew on two fantasy teams. D'OH!!

Your thoughts?
That O-line is not looking so good. F Taylor has got to break down sometime and Jones-Drew is a little overrated.

I still think the division is a toss up but jacksonville is taking on a little water.

Alanboy is right. On another thread I predicted both wild cards would come out of J'ville's division. Tennessee is better than people think. With Denver's trouncing of Oakland that could change things. Well, it's only week one. I don't know if Denver is that good or Oakland is that bad. But Oakland IS bad.

The Jags get a win over the (possibly FORMER) AFC South powerhouse Colts. Good thing too, because they are ALOT better than there record shows....

Default Jaguars laugh at the Lions troubles- literally!

Sad Lions a laughing matter now | The Detroit News | detnews.com (http://www.detnews.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20081111/SPORTS0101/811110381/1126 - broken link)

The Jags have no room to laugh losing to the Bengals the previous week.

all I can hope for is for the lions to get the top draft pick, and for the cowboys to lose out so the lions can get another good draft pick. I think they need to throw drew stanton in the mix to see if he can play football.

Well, the Lions can start if they give up on the "Calvin Johnson Project" by just giving him to the Falcons. That'd be a dream come true...that article was funny too.

Default Should Jack Del Rio be fired?

The Jacksonville Jaguars are 4-8 losing to a lowly Houston Texan team last night 30-17,they have looked inconsistent all season long losing games by narrow margins. This team has above average talent,a smart and athletic quarterback in David Garrard, albeit they have had numerous injuries, but this does not in my opinion excuse the coaching ability ,so do you think Jack Del Rio should he be fired for not having a better record or does it lie upon the ineptness of the team and its injuries ?
