It's been the mission of sportswriters and the sports media in general to undermine the Jaguars as much as possible so that their beloved LA can land a franchise again to replace the one it couldn't support (Rams) umpteen years ago. The problem is the Jags aren't going anywhere as the lease has them in place until 2027 and any attempts at breaking the lease will cost tens of millions of dollars, as well as open book investigations of finances that the NFL wants to avoid like the plague. The new owner is buying a home in the Jacksonville area and has pledged not only to keep the team there but to also to go out and win a Super Bowl. Those aren't the words or actions of someone looking to skip town ASAP.

Fixed

They hated Jacksonville FL and have poisoned many into thinking Jacksonville does not belong in the league because of xyz. Many of the zombies and monkeys that worship every word of these has been talking heads or now climbing on the highest mountain to yell their hatred now, The Media agenda has some legs now. To top things off you have jealous cities like San Antonio thinking the foolishness The Media pushes is correct. Bitterness is an ugly thing.

Ok, you seriously have to turn down your homering.

If you think Jacksonville is the media's most hated city, then New Jersey must be the darlings of the WORLD.

Dude, stop being so insecure.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Jacksonville Jaguars running back Maurice Jones-Drew has ended his 38-day holdout -- without a new contract.

Jones-Drew arrived at the facility Sunday morning and chatted with teammates before meeting with coaches.

ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter first reported Jones-Drew's decision.

"Just shared some love with (at)Jones-Drew32 in the locker room," Jaguars running back Rashad Jennings posted on his Twitter page. "Glad to see you back -- Let's work brah!"

The NFL's leading rusher in 2011, Jones-Drew skipped the team's entire offseason in a nasty contract dispute. With coach Mike Mularkey able to fine him up to $30,000 a day -- plus $60,000 for a three-day, mandatory minicamp -- Jones-Drew could be out $1.2 million this season. He is scheduled to make $4.45 million in 2012 and $4.95 million next year.

Jones-Drew wanted to renegotiate the final two years of a five-year, $31 million deal that paid him nearly $22 million the last three seasons. Owner Shad Khan and general manager Gene Smith refused, not wanting to set a precedent of paying players in the middle of lucrative deals.

Now all the conversation and hype about him can stop (maybe)! Holding out for what in the middle of a contract, not exactly rocket science, you have to wonder about some of the players motivation.

What made it even more bizarre was the fact that the Jaguars were 5-11 last season which meant he had no leverage. When the team is failing and missing the playoffs you don't ask for more money because of your individual stats
