“I didn’t know you could tie in the NFL,” Carolina rookie wide receiver Kelvin Benjamin said.

Am I the only one who is amazed professionals don't know this?

As a die hard fan, its seems improbably that the players wouldn't know basic rules like this especially since we had a TIE in the NFL 3 years running now. But in the end, it doesn't surprise more nor bother me. I want my favorite players making big plays and winning game vs knowing all the rules.

I think it's because ties are so rare in the NFL that most players forget they exist. That's why Mcnabb thought the Eagles had another chance in 2008. What was stupid was the comment he made after the game

"I would the Superbowl don't end in a tie" lol That made no sense

BTW: Lots of panthers players thought they had another chance to win by the way they were celebrating after the Bengals kicker missed the FG

Or they were celebrating because they didn't lose. If you aren't going to win which the Panthers weren't, its better to finish tied than lose.

I don't know that celebration kind of looked like they thought they had another shot which explains the comments from Panthers player Kelvin Benjamin
