Uh, what happened? A touchback? I wasn't watching.

Nvm, D.Bailey kicks 47 yards from DAL 35 to PHI 18. J.Huff MUFFS catch, RECOVERED by DAL-C.Spillman at PHI 18. C.Spillman to PHI 18 for no gain (C.Maragos).

Probably was touched by an Eagle. Either that, or a questionable call.

The ball was not touched by anyone. It was a short kick, it hit the ground and the Cowboys recovered it. That's why I was thinking that the ball must be live on kickoffs. Right?

I watched the play several times, and I don't recall seeing anyone touch it. It was something I'd never seen before.

QUESTION (For the OP or whomever): I'm 9-4 with my "picks", but I didn't get a pick in for the Thursday night game. Do I count it as a loss or just not count it either way? In contests I've been in before, it was always the number of correct picks that counted. I've never been late with a game pick before, so I'm not sure how to count my missed game. Whatever is normally done is fine with me.

I just wouldn't count it in your total. There are several users (I believe) that have not played entirely since Week 1. It's all good, and it's all in fun and good sport!

11-4 with the Saints tomorrow night. I missed the Cowboys, Steelers, Bills, and Cardinals on Thursday night. It was painful to watch the Cowboys win tonight. I didn't realize they are 7-0 on the road this season. It's too bad they're lousy at home. I was also surprised that the Packers lost. I probably shouldn't have been. The Bills are a formidable foe and the Packers were due for a letdown game, especially considering the franchise has never won in Buffalo. They need to make sure and take care of business next week in Tampa Bay or else things could get very interesting in Week 17 against the Lions. 10-6 definitely doesn't guarantee a playoff appearance. I'm sure the Packers will come through though. I can't imagine the postseason without them.

I saw it live when I went to see Georgia host Georgia Tech a few weeks ago. Georgia Tech had a short kickoff that no Georgia player touched, and Georgia Tech recovered it around the Georgia 30-yard line. I was thrown for a loop too. What made it awkward was that I brought a friend with me who doesn't watch football, and throughout the game I was explaining various rules and stuff, but that one I was totally wrong about.
