Here's an NFC Playoff Project for anyone wanting to take the challenge.

Everyone is saying the Saints are out in the NFC South - and the NFC South is down to the Panthers/Falcons.

What happens if the Saints win, and the Panthers & Falcons tie?

Under that scenario...
Saints 7-9
Panthers 6-8-2
Falcons 6-9-1

My guess it would be the Panthers get in because they would have a better winning percentage by a very small amount of percentage points.

I checked with a radio host who said ties are considered as half wins. In that case, Carolina would effectively be 7-9 - however, they have the better division record. If they tie Atlanta, the Panthers division record would be 3-2-1 - and the Saints if they won would be 3-3.

That's what I have heard to this point.

Last year, Packers won the North because of a tie game. Bears were 8-8 and Packers 8-7-1, that half a game won them the division! They tied with the Vikes within the division. I think their division wins were better than the Bears. The end of that game at Soldier field was a classic!

Do you think they would publicly announce the Saints was eliminated on national TV if they wasn't? lol

If the Panthers and Falcons tie, the Panthers win the division.. The Saints are eliminated because 2 ties is equal to 1 win thus the Panthers and Saints would have an equal number of wins but the Saints would have an extra loss...

Even though the Falcons are at home, for some reason I think the Panthers go in there and win, not sure why, just a thought!

Sometimes people miss things... I just asked the question because I wasn't sure.

This is the real reason why the Saints were eliminated

"Losing their last 5 home games"

Not sure what the bigger surprise of 2014 NFL Season is;
Cowboys making the Playoffs
or
Saints not making the Playoffs

One things for sure, it will take longer than 5 minutes for Rob Ryan to get his next job!
