This is the first time I've seen them play this year, and I'm not certain when I last saw them play.
Their helmets are black in front and gold in back. Wouldn't that make it just a slight bit easier for the defense secondary to determine which direction the QB is looking?

Considering the Jags made the change two years ago; I guess they are the pinnacle of irrelevant if someone just realized their helmet has changed.
For the record; I don't mind the helmet. Seems anything that deviates Packers/Steelers/Browns type designs are unpopular with the elder crowd.
I actually hate those helmets a lot. And I am not a Jags fan, I just think they are beyond atrocious. I might be able to deal with them a little better if the black was a shiny black to match the shiny gold, but a matte black? Who designed those things?
I was watching the North Dakota State Bison playing the Coastal Carolina Chanticleers, and unless my eyes are failing me, the Chants seemed to have almost the same colors and look as the Jacksonville Jags - including the helmet!

Since I live in the Mid Atlantic area, I probably have not had a chance to see them play more than two or three years minimum.
I don't consider them ugly, just odd in the design that would allow a defense to tell at a glance which way his head is turned. In my opinion anything such as that, which could give the defense any small amount of edge, should be avoided.
If they were just a solid black or teal, it would be fine.
