I think soon there is a chance that a bad "Roughing the Passer, Helmet to Helmet, Defenseless receiver...etc" call is going to be made and will cost a team a playoff spot, a playoff game or the superbowl.

These calls should be able to be challenged. It's a 15-20 second replay. I don't think it should slow up the game by much.

I disagree with the "let humans make a mistake" argument, I would rather for them to get it right.
Anybody else think these penalties should be reviewable?

I don't think they should, as that would take the power away from the referees and make them seem utterly powerless on the field. A penalty is an infraction in the eyes of the official, and by making that questionable, it negates any "power" the officials have on the field.

I understand your point, however, a "bad" call may also HELP a team into a playoff spot, playoff game or Superbowl. This could go either way, depending on which team you're pulling for. Fans are notorious for giving the refs a "pass" when their team has been helped by a "bad" call!

Therefore, I have to agree that the officials need to be allowed to call the game as it is seen on the field, otherwise the NFL may become too electronic and robotized. It could ultimately kill the spirit of the game.
