Come on, I thought there were plenty of NFL insiders here that really believed LA was getting an NFL team despite the fact there are literally no NFL ready stadiums within an 90 mile radius.

Not a major heartbreaker for the NFL. They seem to have this London fetish after all.

I'm guessing they never were all that serious about a team for LA, but were just testing the waters to see what they could shake out in the way of interest and/or monies! What a scam!

The way I read this the key phrase is "in 2015", but yeah I've been somewhat skeptical since these rumors/stories have surfaced many times in the past.

I suspect the NFL would rather expand into LA and not let an existing franchise relocate there.

who knows with al davis. he moved originally because attendance was way down on oakland, perhaps attendance wasnt where it should have been in LA, so he moved back.

Stadium issues. He didn't want to use the Coliseum and he wanted a new stadium with luxury suites but the city didn't build one. I don't see an NFL team ever coming to Los Angeles unless a stadium with luxury boxes is built with public financing. A lot of people claim the NFL uses Los Angeles as blackmail to get stadium upgrades but at this point I don't think any city takes those threats seriously since Los Angeles doesn't even have a stadium with luxury boxes and the people don't even want to build one with public financing.
