I've been saying it ever since the Broncos lost to the Rams. Peyton Manning literally has nothing left in his arm. He cannot throw passes more than 10 yards downfield reliably. He'll be 39 in March. Nothing lasts forever. It's time to go.

The Bronco's had a great run this year.....but Peyton looked tired and lacked that spark!

We'll see. It depends if he was playing hurt or not and/or we don't know the entire story.

He could probably have another winning season, but he's no longer "Peyton Manning" against teams with solid coverage on pass defense. I tend to agree that he ought to consider retirement.

I was just saying the same thing in another thread. Once that fumbled punt got overturned you could hear the whole stadium start to pack it in. Boo birds pretty much during their entire final drive. All you have to do against him is force all of his throws to go outside of the numbers. The Colts dbs could have easily had 2-3 picks. Going to be an interesting off season in the Mile High City.

But aren't injuries a part of the overall analysis with any QB in his late 30s? What are the actuarial odds of a QB making it healthy and being effective at the end of a brutal 17-week season? Not that good. Peyton's got a lot of mileage on that body. He's a great QB - one of the best ever. But I think it's time to pack it in.

Not quite. His overall season numbers were impressive for an old man and better than most guys plenty younger. I think he has one quality season left in him. One for chance with the Broncos and a near certain shot to set the career passing yards record.

Unless, of course, he calls it quits in the offseason.

It's very likely that Andrew Luck and Aaron Rodgers pass both Peyton and Tom as the greater QBs when it is all said and done. I think Peyton still has another year or two left.
