If you're asking me, I never said or implied that. Last year's Seattle defense was better than this years, that's about all I can say on the subject.

Nope, was asking timberline: "And this Seattle defense isn't in the same league as the 2012 Ravens."

Ravens defense was pretty meh in 2012, then in the playoffs they stepped up in a big way, but still nowhere near Seattle last year or even this year. Seahawks don't compare to the 2000 Ravens though. (Maybe not even 2006 Ravens, defensively.)

2012 Ravens defense was ranked 17 overall! #17 pass D #20 run D

2014 Seahawks defense is rank #1.........#1 pass D # 3 run D

2014 Ravens defense is rank #8.........#23 pass # 4 run D..........PATRIOTS pretty much couldn't run the ball on the Ravens and attacked them on their weak spot their pass D to pull out the win.....Seahawks strength is their pass D and even their run D is in the same level as the Ravens.

2000 Ravens #2 ranked defense (Titans were ranked #1) #1 on the Run D and 8th pass D.

2000 Ravens gave up 165 points. Better than the Titans.

Yes, it's a lot better. It's compared to the best defenses of all time

At first I said the Patriots, but now I'll go with the Seahawks. I don't know if the game will be overshadowed by the Deflate-gate thing.

both defenses were a coin flip (I give the edge to the Ravens because of Ray Lewis) .......Titans and Ravens played 3 times that year.

Titans 14-6
Ravens 24-23
Ravens 24-10 playoff......it was tied 10-10 going in the 4th quarter ...Ravens scored on 90 yard blocked field goal return and then Ray Lewis sealed the game with 50 yard interception TD return.

Those 2 key plays in the 4th quarter gave the game to the Ravens but the Titans outplay the Ravens for most of the game.

Titans had 23 first downs to 6 for the Ravens
Titans had 317 total yards to Ravens 134 yards.
Titans controlled the clock 40:29 to the Ravens 19:31
Titans 123 yards rushing to the Ravens 49 yards.
Titans 195 yards passing to the Ravens 117 yards.

classic game that was decided in the 4th quarter by 2 plays....special team block FG return and by a HOF LB with an INT from Eddie George.

Ravens gave up fewer points. Yards don't matter. They also had a ridiculous turnover differential and either scored on defense or gave the offense a really short field to work with. They had to, their offense was so bad. There was a stretch when they didn't score a TD for 5 weeks, but they still managed to win 2 games during that stretch.

There was also a claim that the Titans stole Dilfer's playbook during one of the games, and all of a sudden the Titans knew exactly what Baltimore was doing every single play on offense the next time they played.
