A 17 point victory for the Patriots would certainly be a surprise. All five super bowls they have played in in the Brady/Belicheck area have been decided by 4 points or fewer.

Zero chance Brady would retire if they win today. He has always talked about playing into his 40s.

I'll keep this thread going till close to kickoff. A pregame/game/postgame thread has been made a sticky for continuous commentary.

There has always been a poll in the last several super bowls on the football forum and this one has been tight right off the get go. Nobody has had more than 3 votes ahead the whole time this thread has been going.

Isn't this game pretty much a pick 'em in Vegas?

Pretty much. I heard that there was late movement on the Patriots putting them -1 at some places.

I'm going with the Patriots. The Josh McDaniels and Tom Brady will find success against the Seahawk's high school defensive scheme, probably with lots of motions and formation shifts. I'd also expect them to line up Gronkowski on the outside against Sherman and have him pummel a time or two to set the tone.

I don't think Seattle's offense can beat New England's defense.
