It's Official, Panthers coach John Fox will head coach the Panthers another year after rumors that he might lose his job. Meanwhile, 3-time Super-Bowl winner Joe Gibbs has retired a second time and most likely for good.

Joe Gibbs was not only a great coach but also a great person. What a class act? I have always loved Joe Gibbs and consider him one of the classiest people in the world of Sports, and it helps that he's from the beautiful state of North Carolina!! . I hope he enjoys his retirement and wish him the best.

I was going to write more in the first post but my computer had an error. But I agree with you X, and not only a class act but in my mind, the best coach in redskins history, and one of the best in NFL history. He should get into the hall of fame if he isnt already there.

I believe he was inducted a few years after his initial retirement. I'm not sure what year, though. It is going to be a long time before a head coach does what no one else had done; win three Super Bowls while starting three different quarterbacks. A good guy-Joe Gibbs.

Yeah as Double H mentioned, he is already in the Hall of Fame, I believe it was 1996 when he got in.

I have so many great memories of growing up in DC and watching Joe and the 'Skins during the Glory years and he's always been a class act, win or lose. He truely practices what he preaches, a great man.

Only the Panthers? Every NFL team in need of a coach is getting ready for the bidding war in '09

He wants to be closer to his daughter, who goes to NC State. Therefore, the Panthers are his best option, and I think they will do well under his chin........um, I mean his guidance.
