Just to be clear - it wasn't the simple prostitution. Is the press helping out the NFL?

Former NFL defensive tackle Warren Sapp’s Super Bowl trip in Phoenix ended with a pink slip from his employer and a trip to the Maricopa County jail after the ex-Buccaneer and Raider was arrested by Phoenix police and booked on charges of soliciting prostitution and two counts of assault.

If the normal acts of prostitution had occurred and there was a peaceful transfer of funds - there would be no problem. I'm sure he has done it before.

There was an altercation... it spilled out into the hallway... that's what got him into trouble. He should have just paid up and moved on. But it got violent. That's not what the NFL needs right now. So the headline - prostitution only... NOT exactly...

You're right on that - it wasn't just the escorts. But I still think dude - two drinks and a ride in your Lambo and you get what you wanted anyway. So so so soooooo stupid!

And by the way, how come wealthy celebs have to pay for it?
They might like to do things that their partner isn't down for or they just don't want to share.

Either that or they liked having someone that knew what they liked and that they didn't have to have any messy relationship stuff or have them wanting to stay over blah blah blah.

Also don't have to worry about the latest hook-up stealing from you, going public, claiming rape etc etc etc.

I never cared for Warren Sapp. To me, he was always a low class, ignorant guy who always takes the low road. Nothing but a thug. This is not surprising. If was difficult to watch him on the network. Just an ugly, vile individual.

Here is a situation where this low class thug gets on backpage and contacts two escorts. They didn't know who it was before they arrived. When they got to his room, knocked, and he opened, I'm sure they were shocked to see his big, obese, ugly, low class guy. He gave them the money upfront. He probably expected to have sex with them both, but only one could stomach it, while the other declined. Sapp was disappointed and offended, asked for his money back. When they refused, he tried to take it, which was when it spilled out into the hallway. Just your normal low class Warren Sapp stuff.

Glad he was fired. I wish he would disappear.

Clearly not a Sapp fan - and you know way to much about the escort process....

I've always thought Warren Sapp was one of the biggest jerks ever to play in the NFL. I know it's anecdotal, but the one or two people I've known who've met him seem to reinforce that perception. Good riddance.

Clearly.

Yes I do know a great deal about that process, especially from a legal standpoint.

Actually, I'm surprised.

I always enjoyed Warren Sapp and his craziness on TV. Too bad he took the low road and did something that foolish. Here's hoping he gets his life together.

Someone posted his picture on a basketball site last night to prove a point that Greg Anthony is not the only one who used a prostitute and I thought it was something he did years ago. I had no idea it was something that just happened after just seeing him on the NFL Network last week

I certainly don't think any less of Sapp because of this.. but I wont get into the debate of the legality of escorts.. it just seems to me that if you have a public eye type job like this and you need to visit escorts to you go to where it is at least a legal activity (Nevada). From the reports, it appears he was not involved in a sting but caught because of a disagreement between him and the escort(s). That's two dumb moves from Sapp...

Sapp comes across like a nice guy but his shtick on TV was getting old to me..
