Not sure what you mean by supporting cast. He had a bunch of decent RBs throughout the year, a better defense than before, and quality receivers (e.g., Edelman over that drop machine Welker). This may have been the best of the 4 Patriots SB teams, but no one will ever convince me that it's the hard route to get the bye in a fairly easy division and only have one tough playoff game (at home) to get to the SB instead of being road warriors like Green Bay, New York, or Baltimore.
The AFC East was not the weakest division in the NFL this year. Nor was it the weakest division in the AFC this year. Look at what they did in the regular season against the Bengals, Lions, Broncos and the Colts. They pounded all four of them. All four made the playoffs, two of them won their divisions.
I never said they were in the worst division in football this year, nor did I say they had no impressive wins. I said 2-3 tough road wins in January is more impressive than a bye, an easy win, and a semi-tough win at home.

The Pats had an average defense, at best, a bunch of no name RBs and the most mind boggling part, 3 white guys starting at WR/TE....lol....I am not a Pats fan, but how good is Brady....even haters have to admire him

Wait, are you saying Gronk is not a talented TE?
Amendola isn't anything special, but Edelman has turned out to be better than Welker.
Ha, it always irks me that this year's Patriots team, for example, is referred to as the 2014 Super Bowl champions....people, the game was played in 2015! And it wasn't played on New Year's day the way college football championship/bowl games are (ie just barely in 2015), it was played in February, every year in February. Yeah I get it, it's the 2014 Patriots, but to me it's the 2014-15 Patriots.
But I digress. I'd say the 2013-14 Seahawks are up there with one of the best, if not the best. I kind of feel that that the 2004-2005 Patriots were really good too, since it was the most experienced/veteran group among that 3-championship dynasty. Brady wasn't a game manager carried by his defense anymore. Offense and defense were pretty balanced on that Pats team, from what I remember.
My #3 is a tie between the other two best defensive teams on that list, the 00-01 Ravens and the 02-03 Bucs. That Bucs team took a high-powered Raider offense and man-handled them.

Gronk is absolutely an all pro....Brady MADE Welker, and he is now MAKING Edelman....Do you think Edelman is remotely the same receiver with any other QB? That's what makes Brady so good
Regardless of how much Brady has improved Edelman, he has been great for them. They wouldn't have won the SB with Welker. Welker is a great regular season receiver who's scared to catch a pass against tough teams in the postseason.

LOL....I love how people speak in such absolutes....you have absolutely no idea if the Pats win or not with Welker....he drops one questionable ball (I agree it was a catchable ball, but far from easy) and you want to define his entire career on one pass....that is idiotic
Not one pass. He dropped a number of passes against the Ravens in 2012. He couldn't hold onto anything in the SB in 2013. There's a common theme here.
