I think teams would be better off drafting a QB from a pro type offense and developing them. Pick a guy with the right size, arm strength, and intelligence. There is a lot out there but nobody wants to wait.

As to Winston. Give a spoiled kid a lot of money and what happens?

So it is in the news again, a civil lawsuit has been filed, right before the draft. They said she was going to file a civil suit, way back when but here it is, the story that will not go away.

CH, The idea that Brady and the Manning Bros. don't possess 'athleticism' is foolish. There are only a handful of men who ever play QB at it's highest level. And they're honed from an enormous & competitive talent pool (& levels) of young athletes.

Drop back passers possess strength, command/ball placement, hand-eye coordination, conditioning (often playing every offensive snap),.. all athletic traits. These guys possess them at the highest level, in arguably the most important, & competitive, position in all pro sports.. c'mon.

Maybe I'm missing something.

Thoughts?
He threw 18 Interceptions his final year in college, and that is with even missing one game due to suspension!!! I am not all sold on him either, he is a gamble for sure, but isn't everyone who is projected as the number one overall pick (with the exception of maybe Andrew Luck).

With that being said, would Cody Kessler of USC be projected as a top tier QB candidate for next year's draft?

Seems like a bit of a dirt bag who will have problems staying out of jail if they reward him with an NFL contract.

It is one thing to have the local police department in your pocket so the University football players get a free pas for their criminal behavior, but it is something else when it occurs on a national stage.

Winston might have what it takes to play football, but he will be like that kid that went to Cleveland (?) and never be able to overcome being a moron outside of being able to throw a football.

At some point these teams are going to wake up and realize that the baggage and damage to their reputation is not worth the chance that one of these guys MIGHT turn out to be a capable player.
