In a text message to Comcast SportsNet's Derrick Gunn, Boykin said Kelly is “uncomfortable around grown men of our culture.”

“He can't relate and that makes him uncomfortable,” Boykin added in the text message. “He likes total control of everything, and he don't like to be uncomfortable. Players excel when you let them naturally be who they are, and in my experience that hasn't been important to him, but you guys have heard this before me.”

Actually - Boykin is height challenged. And he is in a contract year and they would have let him walk for nothing - so at least they got something for him now.

Kelly can run things like he wants. He has always favored big people.

The racist comments are nonsense. Just look at the list of who has been removed, and who has been brought in. These charges are ridiculous. Sports writers are weenies for not even challenging this stuff - because it's obvious that Murray is black... Mathews is black... Kelly just said Kendricks isn't going anywhere and he's black. I know that's not their job - but they can ask tough questions when they want to...

It's chic to call folks racists now days thanks to a puzzy press and the highest levels of governmental rhetoric . Waters down when real racism occurs.

I'm reminded of a couple of children's' tales with a strong moral foundations ... "The Boy who Cried Wolf" and "Henny Penny/Chicken Little/Chicken Licken" (The Sky is Falling).

Chip Kelly can be considered arguably pretty eccentrically crazy. Read some of the stuff on him and his relationship with people who have been around him, including his ex-wife. The guy is weird in the very least. Racist?????, show me some real evidence not just wild azz claims.

I got Jackson, McCoy, and Boykin on the list.

This is why people look at real racism with a raised eye.

These claims are obviously ludicrous. People see this and think that all cries of racism are crying wolf. Plus - it makes those players look bad.

It also shows the strength of Kelly to not stoop to that level and start exchanging barbs. Just let the evidence speak for itself.

FWIW Boykin never raised the issue of racism. One can interpret it however they want but Boykin came out later and specifically said he was NOT referring to an issue of racism.

That leaves the psycho Jackson and butthurt McCoy making claims. Hardly any cred there.

It would be pretty tough in this day and age to be a racist and be a white NFL coach considering that 80 percent of your players are going to be minorities.
