The Washington Redskins are reportedly stuck at FedEx Field unless the organization decides to change its name.
The team is looking to move to a new stadium in the near future, but their relocation from Maryland to the RFK Stadium in D.C. now hinges on the organization’s willingness to change its name, The Washington Post reported on Wednesday.

This has been a long time battle. Personally I have been on the fence about it, but I guess it is time. Investors now calling on major sponsors to force change.

Report: Investors call on Nike, FedEx, PepsiCo to cut ties with Redskins over name

That's what FedEx Field (Originally Jack Kent Cooke Stadium) was. Old man Cooke built the thing himself.

But, the argument is that the district won't let them do anything unless the name is changed. Whether he puts money down or not. It's unlikely Maryland would, either.. Virginia.. Possibly.

Please ...

The mayor at first expressed horror about the name (rather dramatic considering she grew up rooting for them and never batted an eyelid).

Then, suddenly liking the idea of them coming back to DC, changer her mind on the name.

Now that the Cultural Revolution Part II has swept into DC, the name is suddenly horrific again.

One empty gesture is bad enough, but to keep going back and forth ...

OI have an answer to that one: just change their helmets to big red potatoes and become known as the Redskins as in years past.

Will not be long before the Indians, Braves, and Chiefs will also change their names. It will not matter to me. I will not be watching.

I wonder if they will come after the Patriots at some point, for being too nationalistic.

Wow, seems this is happening everywhere. LandOLakes butter changed their packaging for basically the same reason. If they change it one possibility is the Washington Hogs, since they do have that history. They can have porky pig as their logo.
