Romo is clearly a better QB than AIkman based on his mobility and creativity. Aikman was nothing but a statute in the pocket and never had any type of speed on top of being interception.

Has Romo's mobility and creativity gotten the Cowboys back to the Super Bowl? Not yet. Staubach has two rings; Aikman has three.

Doesn't matter how many reasons rings Aikman has because if you watched him and Romo played it's clear who the better QB is when comparing the two.

It is obvious to see when the Cowboys won more. The Cowboys are not the same team now as they were in the 1990's.

So if Aikman was so great why did the team miss the playoffs three years in a row after losing to the panthers in 1997? He benefited from a solid offensive line and a great defense between 1992 and 1996. Romo on the other hand has always been a play maker due to his speed and mobility.

The game changed in the late 1990's, and changes did not benefit the Cowboys.

Brady and Manning are statues too, how are their careers working out? I am a Cowboy fan as well as a huge Romo fan. He is NOT in the class of Aikman and Staubach

Romo has more in common with Starbauch than he does Aikman since they both have similar playing styles. And to be completely honest with you, Aikman was not that impressive during the 1992-1995 era the team won in spite of him. He was scared to take a hit and never ever made a effort to run which is why he was a earlier version of Eli Manning.

Aikman was a first ballot HOF'er and widely recognized as one of the most accurate QB's of alltime. Did Aikman play on a great team, absolutely, but most GREAT QB's played on really good, if not great teams (Montana, Starr, Staubach, Bradshaw). Will i argue that Aikman is top 5 alltime, no, but i will argue he is on then alltime underatted list (to set the record straight, i am a bit older and will always be a Staubach fan). I like Romo, i am a Romo supporter, but in my opinion, he is not on the level of a Staubach or Aikman....similar to Rodgers....really good QB, but he isnt on the level of a Starr or a Favre....yet....to your point of Romo having more in common with Staubach than Aikman, i dont know about that....Staubach was a highly mobile QB, Aikman was a pocket passer. Romo is probably in between the 2 of them....Arm strength....besides Elway, no one had a stronger arm than Aikman. toss up between Staubach and Romo as far as arm strength. I would give the nod to Staubach, only becuse he throws a better deep ball than Romo
