Amani Toomer ‘disheartened’ with Giants attitude

Q: What happened against the Eagles?

A: I just saw a team that wasn’t ready to fight. They were chirping in the paper, getting away from what it’s really about to be on the Giants. When we won the Super Bowl our whole motto was: ‘Talk is cheap, play the game.’ It’s a little disheartening as a former player to see that happen. If you are going to play like that, just don’t talk. Giants won three in a row and all of a sudden they are relaxing and can start talking trash now.

Normally tight-lipped Eli Manning offers harsh criticism of New York Giants

Manning said after Sunday's loss to the Philadelphia Eagles that the game was a reminder the Giants "can't just show up on the field and have things go well for you automatically. You have to earn it." Later he said the Giants "got outplayed, we got outperformed and we got out-physicaled" by the Eagles.

Soul searching going on among the vets... are the youngsters paying attention?

Hopefully after last sunday night the whole team is paying real close attention, that was about as putrid as it gets and this team has had some real clunkers the past few years. Tomorrow is a no doubt must win game for the Giants.

I dont know how much chemistry Beckham Jr and Eli have developed, but I am beginning to think that it is time to just go ahead and make him the #1 receiver--make more attempts to get him the ball.

I certainly have not.. but there is no question that fans from every team come out from under rocks during a win streak. The Cowboy fans do NOT have a monopoly on that trait..

Cowboys fans are just some of the worse when they come from under the rock.
