Day and a half after "the game..."

Oh yeah, go Big Blue! Giants Babyyy!!!!

The truth of the matter is, Manning was exceptionally brilliant in the playoffs last year. But except for those games, he's just a little better than mediocre. Yeah, the Giants spent a small fortune on the publicity machine hyping him--but he's not anything special.

He is good but the eagles were in the backfield way too much . McNabb had all day many times. Out played and happens to team every week.

Man, I'm still disappointed. Congrats to the Eagles, but man, the Giants could have had. They made so many errors - 2 missed FGs, 2 missed 4th down attempts, more turnovers ... Eagles played relatively clean, other than meaningless INTs and that safety penalty.

No doubt that Plax was the X factor last year. Even though he may not necessarily catch for 100 yards and 2 TDs every game, he draws double coverage, which opens up the running game and intermediate passing game.

The Giant will need to get another big-time receiver, assuming Burress will be rotting in jail. And hopefully getting Osi back will help out the D Line, which faded toward the end of the season.

At this point, I'm pulling for the Cardinals to go all the way.

Trust me when I tell ya, I know EXACTLY how you feel right now....
And I'm pulling for the Cards as well, since they're the only team in the playoffs I don't hate.

Default Why isnt Phil Simms in the Hall Of Fame?

Somebodys gotta tell me why the greatest Giants quarterback of all time (and we're an EXTREMELY historic franchise) who had the best Super Bowl performance of all time (and there have been 42 Super Bowls and that was the best ever) is not in...

I dont know Phil Simms stats and career well and cant say if he deserves to be there or not but putting the greatest performance in a single game (SB or not) shouldnt automatically get your into the HOF.

I like Phil Simms a LOT but don't know enough of his statistics to comment.

VERY average QB, decent game manager. Didnt Hostetler win one of the super bowls? Half the QB in the league could have won with that team. I like Phil but not HOF material.

Here's why.
He has a career QB rating of just 78.5. TD-INT of 199-157. Highest TD passes in a season was a meager 22. His career pass completion is only 55%.

Bottom line is he doesn't have the stats, or to put it it another way he didn't have a HOF worthy career. Not even close.
