No offense but that doesn't make any sense. Based on that logic, QBs should "stick out like sore thumbs" more since even more attention is focused on them. In fact RBs get at least as much attention as most WRs.

Maybe it comes from being hit over the middle enough times, it scrambles their alleged brains

Burress is a great receiver.... the NYG would not have won the superbowl without him

He just needs to stay out of trouble

I just cant believe that Plaxico Burress has the nerve to tell the NYG that he wants a trade.

Can anyone name a NFL team that would want him? Does he realize that he is going to prison?

If I was the NYG, I would trade him for a 7th round draft pick to any team willing to take him!
That's not called for. He probably feels like he isn't receiving the support he thought he would from his own team. That just goes to show you that in the world of sports they'll use you and act like they love you until you mess up and they'll leave you high and dry.

The man made a mistake and now he's being persecuted by people who haven't the slightest idea of what it's like to be in his situation.

Adam Jones and Plaxico Burress are not the same type of men.

True. I don't know what it's like to be a multi-millionaire playing a game I love. I've also never been stupid enough to carry a loaded gun into a club, never mind ready to shoot and dangling in my baggy sweats.

aw.

apologists

Yeah that was real cute. Well how about the fact that some of these ball players don't even feel safe walking about without fearing someone's gonna try and take them for everything they've got. Especially black ball players. It's happened before.

No one's gonna walk around carrying a gun if they don't feel they need to. Yes, it was irresponsible of him to not get his license renewed, but it's not as if he was intended to cause others harm. He shot himself in the foot. Give the man a break.

LOL @ "esp the black players." Yeah I read where muggers love to mug blacks a lot more than whites.

And yknow it's funny, but I haven't heard of a rash of ball players getting mugged or attacked. Also if a ball player walks around with wads of cash he's not the exactly sharpest tool in the shed (which is the kindest thing one can say about Burress' alleged intelligence). If he doesn't, he can't get "taken for everything he's got" - even ATMs only allow a max of a few hundred dollars. I doubt that'd put much of a dent in Burress' sweat pants.

He's a moron in the extreme. This is not exactly news to the rest of the world, but hey if you want to bury your head in the sand, have fun. over n out

Are you telling me that any running back in the league is talked about as someone like a Terrell Owens or Plaxico Burress? The WR's seem to be the shi-talkers of the league and alot more then running backs or quarterbacks.
