He got a headache?

But seriously, I wonder if the team gave him the word that he's not going to make the team, and suggested that an off-the-field personal issue leave of absence would save embarrassment.

Don't know, just thinking out loud.

I do find it interesting that he had to take a leave of absence. But let's see if he comes back to the team...

All kinds of nonsense. One angle is that he supposedly heard some not too kind words about him from a teammate or something.

Whatever, this dude's 15 minutes is waaaay up already.

Another article said that he was practicing with the 3rd team. Maybe he thought that in the CFL he'd be an instant star ... and then disillusionment set in.

Maybe he thought he was better than he is because of all of the media attention regarding his social status.

He was a 7th round draft pick than has not made a regular pro football roster. Join the club of the other 7th round draft picks that hang around to get an NFL paycheck. He is not special in that regard.

Time to hit the lib. talk show circuit immediately followed by a career as a motivational speaker where he can hobnob with the Hollywood crowd. With them it's always cool to be seen with as many gay people as possible.

Never mind that he was just another guy that couldn't make it in the NFL (which is not something to be ashamed of considering how high the bar is), but is now a "role model" just for being gay and nothing else.

Just watch where he lands after this. I bet I'm pretty close.

It's too bad it didn't work out, this could have been really ground breaking. Imagine if Jackie Robinson came in and hit .213. That's kind of what happened here. Hopefully the next guy can actually play.

I think he is back on the team. TMZ said that he broke up with his "fiance' " - that's what precipitated his leave of absence.

He's leaving...... again. This time for mental health reasons. Article notes that he didn't make one tackle in game with Ottawa.
