Those are not the norm - and I am talking about playing, not watching.

You get one break in soccer. Everything else seems to be monotonous running and kicking the ball with very little gratification. I know there is strategy and all of that. My oldest was all district for soccer in high school, so I have watched plenty of games.

Baseball - you're on and off the field, there seems to be a rhythm with it I guess. There's definitely a lot less action - but it's not monotonous, and there is more scoring.

Football is football - 9-7 can be exciting ... I prefer 34-30 with about 5 total turnovers.

But again - it's OK if you don't like any of this stuff.

That's what fans of the game refer to as "constant action".

Having visited the beautiful country of CANADA in the summer past...." I wish we could get CFL on the TV here. I went through the computer, tried to find it online, went through my TV listing, like looking forward at the week, no CFL. (Although that did take up some time, and kept me entertained for a while)

It would be nice to be able to watch Canadian Football on American TV BUT
I am sure that the NFL MLB and The-Conspiracy-theorists-only-know-who-else does not want the competition

Not that it is competition. It is more like ARENABALL in some ways played on a larger field.

Arena Football
does go until the end of the month, and the Hall of Fame game is August 7th between the PACKERS and the COLTS

I like that because we can have a few good memories of the past players, then watch the first preseason game. While I do not care for preseason games in General, it is at least a stepping stone to the real season.

SO COLT
Check out CFL Highlights online.
Go to an ARENABALL Game (Tickets are usually available and cheap)
If you can hang out almost a month to August 7 you can watch the HOF Game (Hopefully the repairs and renovations around the stadium are completed)
You can then follow your team or teams weekly camp reports, which again, is not like a regular season game but at least something to help you maintain your sanity in face of the Pila Americum Absentia which although not an approved DSM-V diagnosis, should be.

I hear ya. I'm dying. This time of year is awful. I love my Orioles, but man. Watching a baseball game vs watching football....not even close. At this point I'm excited for camp. At least FOOTBALL.

This year is nice as we'll get two weeks in August with the Olympics to distract us.

Only thing about the Olympics is the side stories, which may over shadow the actual games, water issues, Zika virus, and overall world issues. I enjoy the games and will watch some, hopefully without drama.

I'm ready for camp to start, two weeks away! Right now stories about Jordan Rodgers on Bachelorette are dominating our football news!
