Geno is still a young guy.
He should not be leader until he knows how to play the game.
The other guy should handle the problem better than he did.

It is better than what is happening in Chicago.

My thought on this is the other players. In the locker room, were they alone, where were other players? To me, more telling than a disagreement between two players is it happening inside the facility and no other players stepped up? No one could tell this was escalating?

I might be nave but I can't imagine this happening with many other franchises, not just the one I follow.

Jets source says broken-jawed Geno Smith “deserved it” | ProFootballTalk

More info is coming out. If this is true, I wouldn't want a guy like Geno leading my team going forward.

I'm not excusing the guy who punched him, I just feel the old line, it takes two to tango, applies here. No one wants someone pointing or jabbing their finger in their face but a little less power behind the punch might have been in order!

New details are emerging about the fight that broke Geno Smith's jaw, and it doesn't look good for the quarterback

He got what he asked for

I bet Rex Ryan was sitting somewhere laughing when he heard this. He is probably happy he is out of the team with a terrible owner and pathetic FO (although Mike Mac may do good as GM) to Buffalo a team with a new dedicated owner and FO
