Have to wait until he's done...but he has been great with average talent around him.

I still want to see how good a coach Belicheck is without him.

It seems as though a couple or their AFC Championship losses took a "miracle" by the other team. That is more what I was referring to. Seems like they are almost always in the thick of things during the post season.

I think we will all agree that he is likely to go downhill quite soon. Father Time is undefeated so far.

When you say he was unlucky to lose the 2 SBs, honestly, all 6 of his SBs were close games, and his record could have easily been anywhere between 6-0 and 0-6.

It's cheap to say you'll play til you hit 45. Brees wants to do that too. So did Favre. We'll see if they even hit 40 in the NFL. Look how quickly Favre went downhill from his age 39 season to his age 40 season. Manning may be about to hit the end of his career too. We will see.

Brady is pretty adamant that that will not be the case with him personally. We shall see.

Which 2? The only one I can think of is the loss to Indy. The last 2 (the only other two?) were when they got killed by Denver and Baltimore.

I am likely wrong. Being in Denver, I have not followed the Patriots as I do with Denver. Sounds like Brady has got to the AFC Championship game eight times? Won six?

Their comeback against Baltimore in 2014 was quite impressive. Looked to be on the ropes for sure.

We will have to see how well Jimmy Garoppolo does in his place. In my mind, if he does well, it sort of diminishes his greatness as Matt Cassel also led the team to an 11-5 record.

That 11-5 season was a five game drop off in the win column from the season prior (16-0).

Well he's lost 3: twice to Peyton, once to Flacco. Would've been twice to Flacco but we all know what happened there.

The comeback was pretty good considering the Ravens' offense played well. But there's an asterisk considering the Ravens' corners/safeties had so many injuries all year that they were recruiting guys from other teams' practice squads. I've never seen such a bad secondary (although their play did at least improve marginally down the stretch). But I don't think that game is relevant to this discussion since it wasn't an AFCCG.

The more I think about this, the more inclined I am to give most of the credit to the coach and the team. I'm pretty sure that is often the case.

Though they went from 5-11 to 11-5 when Brady became the starter. Perhaps Belechick had learned the ropes by then.

Hall of Fame QB? No doubt
Best ever? Questionable

For starting out as a late round draft pick, he has certainly surpassed the expectations of almost all. Terrell Davis was another late round jewel. There have been plenty of course.

It's tough to crown a player the greatest ever when there have been several great players to come before him. In this era, I think he's the greatest QB.

He's lead the Patriots during the greatest run by any team in NFL history. He has more Super Bowl titles in the last 13 years than some NFL teams have playoff wins.

Brady is 6-3 in the AFC title games. Bitter fans using injuries as a crutch aside(every NFL team has to deal with them), he has a pretty stellar record in the AFCCG.
