This is one of the greatest arguments for Brady. He so very rarely gets destroyed in a big game. I've seem him get crushed for two quarters. Then come back and win. Brady and the Patriots are magicians at the comeback.

Elway was possibly the strongest and most athletically gifted. But sometimes he flat out laid an egg at the biggest games. Still would not have wanted another quarterback. Elway was the most exciting qb ever in my opinion. We always felt like we still had a chance. Always.

Bronco fans get incensed when I maintain that we took teams of average talent and went to Super Bowls that we did not belong in. We played hard. Had the Mile High advantage in the old stadium. Had good play calling. And Elway was a magic man. I don't see another QB taking some of those teams to the Super Bowl.

But much, maybe most, of the credit likely lies with Belichick. Always has a decent game plan for the big game.

Depends what you mean by destroy. If you mean opponents running up the score, then sure. The only example I can think of off-hand is the loss to the Chiefs last year. But I still think of their recent playoff losses to Denver, Baltimore (28-13, not 33-14), and NYJ cases in which they were thoroughly dominated.

Those are pretty respectable score compared to some of the eggs laid by Denver and the Bills in the Super Bowl.

When did the Jets "thoroughly dominate" the Patriots in the playoffs? Baltimore also did not "thoroughly dominate" the Patriots when they beat them 28-13 in the 2012 AFCCG. Kansas City is a prime example of a game in which the Patriots were beaten badly.

I've posted this list before but it's been some time ago. NFL Films in 2010 produced a great documentary on the "Top 100 players in NFL History" which was televised by the NFL Channel. The poll was conducted by long time NFL writers from around the country. Here's what they come up with at that time. I'll just list the quarterbacks here.

4. Joe Montana
6. Johnny Unitas
8. Peyton Manning
14.Sammy Baugh
16.Otto Graham
20.Brett Favre
21.Tom Brady
23.John Elway
25.Dan Marino
33.Sid Luckman
46.Roger Staubach
50.Terry Bradshaw
51.Bart Starr
80.Troy Aikman
81.Steve Young
83.Norm Van Brocklin
90.Kurt Warner
91.Fran Tarkenton
100.Joe Namath

Is this a joke? No he won't. He shouldn't even be mentioned in the Top 10 of All Time. He is good, but there is a little too much hype around him. He isn't even the best QB of his generation. He has just played on more complete teams.

I'd put Marino and Elway ahead of Brady, and if Rodgers keeps it up he'll get the final spot in the Top 10.

"RG3" should be at the top of that list, a legend in his own mind.

Not top 10? Please, no chance in hell he is outside the top 10. His team was no more complete than Manning's. When he had a good d, he had very few skilled players and when he had great skill players he did not have a good defense, for the most part at least. Last year might have actually been his most complete team.

If Brady is not in your top 10, who is?
