I'd sit Luck out for the next 4 weeks and run him out there once November rolls around. Nobody in the AFC South can get out of their own way, so even if they are 2-5, 2-6 by that time they'll probably only still be 1 or 2 games back with the second best (best depending on where you value defensive players & Watt) player in the division coming back.

Luck's a personable dude, but lately as a QB, he seems a bit distracted? Seems to me that whoever they trot out against the Texans is going to have a tough go tonight, and the next few weeks as well.

it's obvious Luck has become unhinged, I always said RGIII was the better pick.

I have a feeling they are just going through the motions this year. They know they can probably coast to this division, so they left the car in neutral and will turn it on once the playoffs start. Of course maybe the Texans get tonight and then really go on a run and it's too late for the Colts, but I think a Colts win puts the division away. The Jags certainly aren't winning it this year, I doubt the Titans are either, and the Texans would be 2 games back, and lost the head-to-head at home and they NEVER win in Indy. I think they've won there once in franchise history.

Going with the home team tonight (Hou).

I am making my picks now - but just posting this in case I don't get done in time before wife and I go out.

Big sports night in south Texas... Astros, Texans at home, Houston Cougars at SMU... all we are missing is Rockets preseason - and maybe the Dynamo. And I am taking my wife out. I am a long way from from the early days of marriage - which is a good thing.

Wait. How long have they been showing Thur games on NBC? I've assumed they were all on cable and haven't been tuning in, but happened to just turn the tv on and there's the beautiful game.

My understanding is that the first 8 games are on CBS, then the last 8 will go to the NFL Network (cable).

NBC? The game is on both CBS and NFL Network, same commercials and everything. I hadn't heard it would be one or the other later in the season.
