I'm going to find a way to leave both the Patriots & Panthers out of the playoffs!

My first go around: Both the Patriots & Panthers ended up making it. Pats finished in first tied with the Jags at 10-6, so the Jags got the 2nd bye. Also in the AFC Raiders won the West and they played the Texans (WC #2), while the Bengals won the North and played the Dolphins (WC #1), so the Broncos missed the playoffs.
In the NFC (and this was crazy): Minnesota and Atlanta got the 2 bye's numbers 1-2 in that order. Redskins won the NFC Least at sub .500 (7-8-1) and played Panthers (WC #1), while the Cards won the West and played the Bucs (WC #2). 3 teams out of the South made it, while the Packers missed and the Seahawks ended up finishing last in the West.

I'm gonna continue to play around with it, but will only post something else if I get something crazier happening (like 3 AFC South teams making it!)

I love the playoff machine. I like trying to find the most preposterous combinations of playoff seedings. I also like exploring plausible scenarios. I'm a Broncos fan and it appears the Broncos can win their division at 11-5 even if the Chiefs run the table and reach 11-5, so long as the Broncos remaining wins are against their AFC West opponents. That's just one scenario I've tinkered with. I've found another with the Broncos and Chiefs tied at 10-6 and the Broncos out of the playoffs entirely, so the playoff machine can be a lot of fun!

The AFC South is hilarious. Anytime I do anything at all with one of the AFC South teams, that 4th seed changes. It's like none of Indianapolis/Houston/Jacksonville want to go to playoffs and they are playing hot potato with it.

I tried again and got Houston to win.

I got both the Redskins and Giants in playoffs. Changing the first Cowboys/ Redskins game in favor of Dallas put the Cowboys and Giants in playoffs. I did something where if the Packers beat the Cowboys then the Rams get the #6 seed.

I found a scenario where the Broncos are out of the playoffs, but both the Chiefs and the Raiders make it in. This is indeed way too much fun to play with.
