I wanna know why he would stay on the field to watch the final kneel down what purpose would that serve he had already shook Coughlins hand talked to him and all you handshake proffesinals out there it wasent a sour handshake it was fine, if he had stayed on the sidelines it would have been pointless he would stand there and then leave.

For formality's sake and not be a sore loser about it. Yes, he initially thought that the game was over b/c the clock hit 0:00. But the ref told him there's still a second on the clock, but he said F that and made a bee line for the tunnel.
