? It does take time for an offensive line to jell, and it's quite possible one missing piece (i.e. Oher) can make a world of difference.
Anyway, I'm not understanding the hate with Rivera? He's gotten the Panthers in the playoffs three years in a row, winning the NFC South title three years in a row, and now has them in the Super Bowl. I would say he's a pretty good coach. You don't build such a dominate team like he has by dumb luck.
I personally think Rivera is a good coach....at 3-7 last year I thought he was a good coach

Funny thing is, it's the same players, the only change is Oher
Actually, last year's opening day starting RT was Nate Chandler and at LG was Amani Sitoliu. When LG Andrew Norwell and RT Mike Remmers took their respective spots on the line late last year there was a noticeable improvement. Plus Byron Bell was the worst LT in the league last year. Oher who wasn't good last year has been just competent enough this year to keep Cam alive.
A TD would have been a better start, but so far, not bad for Denver.
