The high school I played for used to be ranked nationally every year throughout the sixties and seventies. Now they're lucky to win more than two games a year.

I second Converse Judson. I would also include Southlake Carroll, Permian, Midland Lee, Trinity (lately), Houston area schools. Katy is very tough now (sure wish P-Ville could have upset them this year at State ).

In California you have Poly of course, Mater Dei, De La Salle (in No. Cal.), Bishop Amat, Crespi, Dorsey, Carson, Banning, Los Alamitos, Lincoln and Morse (San Diego), many of the Orange County schools...man, the list goes on and on. California has so many schools there.

For football in OK you can't beat Jenks. 12 State Championships. And everyone knows Oklahoma is the greatest state as far as Prep and College Football talent goes!!! HA HA. We even get the best that Texas has to offer as well!!!

Judson is in San Antonio area. Did you say you are looking mostly at South Texas or the South? Other than the Houston schools, the big programs are in North Texas and a few out in West Texas.

Why not California?

Having lived in Tennessee, Maryville has been a great program for years.
