Disappointing start of the season for my Panthers

The Denver rookie quarterback did a stand-up job.

Good start for the Broncos. Now the Panthers will not start off the season unbeaten as they did last year.

Congrats and way to go, Denver Broncos!

Ol' Dobbin got the first of his horse-cuzzins picked right! We're 1-0, Dobbin!

Denver is the real deal, but Carolina's kicker should have saved his better effort for the kick after the inevitable Denver timeout. His first kick hit the right upright then went in for good. Looks like he tried to compensate on the second kick that hooked left.

I'm probably the only guy in Charlotte who thinks the Panthers will collapse post-Superbowl. So far, they're already off to a worse start than last season.

Did hits to the head become legal again?

Seemed like Cam got dinged a few times (that I saw)... flag was thrown once.

Yeah, there were 4 hits and only the hit by Stewart at the end was called. And that one definitely looked pretty awful but was off set by the intentional grounding. But a couple of the h-to-h contacts looked pretty incidental to me. The sack by Ware included Miller coming in and it didn't look like Miller intended to hit with his helmet. They honestly can't flag it whenever a helmet touches a helmet. It's still football. Still, the press gave the Panthers a lot of questions about that after the game and it'll likely come up again this season.
