I didn't make any picks, but man what a way to start the season. Detroit-Indianapolis, New York-Dallas, Cincinnati-New York, Oakland-New Orleans, San Diego-Kansas City, Miami-Seattle, Carolina-Denver and Green Bay-Jacksonville were all exciting and close games.
I'm 10-3. Missed on the Saints, Bills, and Colts. Ballsy move by JDR to go for 2 and the win for the Raiders. And that Colts defense needs a lot of work after giving up the lead within a minute to play. And as if the 43 yard FG to take the lead wasn't bad enough, the Lions added a safety to the end due to an illegal forward pass in the EZ. How many games end on a safety?
I'm 11-2 and in shock because beginning of the season, I'm usually a perpetual 8-8 on my picks. Great close games today, Colts came back against the Lions but Lions held on for the win.

I have a feeling there's more than you think. Think of a team that leads by 7 or less and has to punt with 3 or 4 seconds left. How many of those team just run around and take the safety as the clock runs out instead of punting and avoiding a disaster like the Giants had 4 or 5 years ago when they stupidly punted to Desean Jackson in the final seconds and Jackson ended up scoring on the return. Obviously not as frequent as TDs or Field Goals as time hits 0:00, but I don't think a safety at 0:00 is all that rare.
