Figured I'd bring this back up.. Story about him locally today..

Former NFL coach Sam Wyche to be honored by Sharing Hope SC and - FOX Carolina 21

Seems to be doing well after the transplant and will be out raising awareness for organ donation charities.

It doesn't surprise me at all that Sam Wyche, he's done it many times from youth organizations to the Salvation Army kitchen for the homeless. One of his early mentors as a Cincinnati Bengal was Bill Walsh as Walsh was an assistant coach under Paul Brown in the 1970's and Wyche was a third string quarterback at that time.

I remember an interview with Wyche shortly after Bill Walsh passed away. He said, "Bill taught me things other than football, he taught me about life. And how to live it the right way."

Not a Bengals fan, but always liked & respected Wyche.. I liked him in Tampa too (remember those years).
Wish him well..

(I swear his '88 Bengals were one of the funnest teams of my lifetime.. Welcome to the Jungle)
