Does the #6 pick in the draft sit? If so, for how long?

Yes.. Barring injury, until the playoffs are out of reach.

Eli will start and play at least the first 5 weeks. Possibly longer, because the Giants have a wild early schedule.

Dallas, Buffalo, Tampa, Washington, Minnesota..

3-2 at that point is not impossible.. Which would delay things.

They are 1-4 or worse after Minnesota.. Eli sits.

Of course, once you get past Minnesota.. they have a pretty touch schedule.

Are N.Y. coaches "allowed" to sit Eli? A previous coach got fired for doing just that.

Different situations. The Giants are most likely moving on from Eli after this season and I believe they realize that.

Back in 2017 when McAdoo benched him.. It was.. Wrong on so many levels. They started freaking Geno Smith in his place. It was an insult to him.. Served no purpose whatsoever.

Now.. They will.. It won't be called a 'benching'.. They're going to phase him out and phase in Daniel Jones who is the considered heir-apparent. It makes sense to do and will in no way be a surprise or, as it was previously, considered a knee-jerk/desperation move.

I'm Sorry - but that's BS. If a HC wants to bench the starting QB and replace him with someone, who he hopes will give the team a spark, even if it was Geno Smith, then that is HIS choice.
The way that it looked to the rest of the NFL world, was that Eli cried and threw a temper tantrum until he got his way.

If Elliot gets his way, then he will make that lost money up in no time. He's probably counting on the hope that the Cowboys can't succeed without him and that Jerry will give in.

In Washington, Trent Williams is holding out.
In N.Y., Golden Tate has a PED problem.

How does that work exactly?

All 3 teams are in the same division but the Giants sneak in because the Cowboys and Eagles beat each other up?

And what are the Cowboys and Eagles going to do to the Giants?? Not show up?

Sorry Giants are in rebuild mode while Cowboys and Eagles are in compete for a title mode....

No chance the Giants "grab the NFC East"
